In Match No.41 of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, 2009 champions Pakistan will face Bangladesh at the Adelaide Oval Stadium on Sunday (November 6). The match is a must-win for both sides if they want to keep their slim hopes of reaching the semis alive. Even though a win won’t guarantee them a place in the knockouts of the ongoing shortest format megaevent, they will still remain in contention, and if other results end up in their favor then they can sneak in.
If South Africa loses its game against the Netherlands, then the winner of the Bangladesh vs. Pakistan match will surely secure a place in the semifinal, and if the Proteas win, then the winners of Pakistan vs. Bangladesh will have to pray that India loses against Zimbabwe in the final match of the Super 12 stage. In that condition, two teams will have six points, and the team with the better net run rate will advance.

At present, Pakistan’s net run rate is better than both India and Bangladesh, so a couple of favorable results can take them to the semifinals.
