Anthony Rendon (wrist) could begin baseball activities soon

Anthony Rendon is healing as expected and could begin baseball activities again soon according to’s Rhett Bollinger. (Source: Rhett Bollinger,

Fantasy Impact: Rendon had been playing through his wrist inflammation but has been on the IL since May 28. He was evaluated by a doctor and is healing nicely but there is still no clear time table for his return. Rendon was hitting .242 with 5 home runs and 23 RBIs prior to injury so fantasy managers can hope for improvement in those numbers since he had been dealing with this injury for a while.

Andrew Kittredge reinstated from IL on Sunday

Fantasy Impact: Kittredge had been on the IL with lower back tightness, but the team had been targeting today for his return for several days now. The Rays continued to operate with a closer-by-committee approach in Kittredge’s absence, but he’s almost certainly going to rack up the most saves on the team going forward. He’s worth starting, but only as a third closer for your fantasy team.

Chris Sale (rib) could face live hitters next week

Fantasy Impact: Sale most recently threw a bullpen session without any issues last Wednesday. If all goes well facing live hitters, Sale could join Boston’s starting rotation before the All-Star break.
